Abo Fana and Other Events

Last friday I went on another assignment outside Cairo. That was to Abo Fana Monastry.

A tiring trip. The most important conclusion out of it was... that both sides seem so right in needind the disputed land. It is almost impossible to tell who should rightfully get it at the end of the day. I guess the only thing I noted was some unrealistic exaggerations from the part of the monk telling us his version of what had happened.

The place itself is so historic. The original Monastry is from the 5th century. Small but so interesting.
Got some shots from this trip to give us an idea of the place.

Also last week there was the first conference of the youth of the 6th of April.

And the very sad passing of Dr. Abdul Wahab El Meseery, Coordinator General of Kifaya.

Borollus, A city under occupation

Went to Borollus village, near Balteem, today with an American columnist to check about the hunger protests some ten days ago.

The problem was so serious, and security was all around.
We had our story but had to rush out to escape unpleasant encounter with the security that started chasing us.
We got out safely, with our story. But, as for the people... it's like they live under occupation.
It is so sad, and even worse, it is not the only city like this now in Egypt.

Last Fixing Jobs

The last fixing jobs were with two very different clients from Australia

There was the a news job with Sophie Mcneill from SBS. It was about politics, about Global warming, and all the funny and sometimes dangerous things happening on the way. A true adventure with an adenturer.

The other one was with some famous people filming in Egypt. It was

Paul Fenech
Melissa Tkautz
Rob Shehadie
